Season 2 thoughts
Am just in the middle.
So far i feel Designated Survivor as a whole is:
- better than west wing
- pretty good fast pacing
- always some 'day to day' puzzle for the president to solve + the longer storyline of the conspiracy in between -> pretty good mix
- good show, but for me not as good as game of thrones, homeland, house of cards -> cause Designated survivor for me feels a bit like a show where 'nothing can really happen', i am not too invested because i don't think something really bad will happen to anyone in the show.
Kirkman President is a real rolemodel of an ideal. I am good with that.
Right now i am at Season 2 Episode 10:
First time i remember to be angry:
Fbi Lady says 'let me bring great britain MI-6 Betrayer guy in'. She could choose nearly *any place*, *any time*. She could choose a whole team. What does she do: She confronts him on a bridge. Alone. Points a gun at him close enough for him to grab. Then she shoots him. This whole thing is just beyond stupid.
Oh wow, another death at the end of the episode. That goes counter to my previous point a bit actually. I guess the actor playing her did want to quit, it felt like that to me.
-> edit: yes, that was it, actor left the show.
ep11: Ok, seems like they 'wrap' this 'grief of wife' in one quick episode with just one 'aha, ok, i'll be just my unhurt self now' moment the president was 'normal' again.
Ok, i like the president meeting the texting-driver who killed his wife and he was just a bit hateful, understandably so.
ep12: Astronaut episode. Ok, bit more wife stuff. Thought the hot woman ceo will be love interest of president. Was wrong.
ep13: Loved the ending with the talk with Kirkman with his brother.
ep15: Ok, female ceo and Kirkman president are on high speed to romance in kitchen.
Love the twist - first that it Andrea Frost, then the car-guy ceo president friend Minter being the Hacker.
