The cuckold scene was a step in the right direction but I think the main character not being black shows the directors are kind of racist. It totally broke my immersion of medieval Poland to see a white male as the protagonist.

I don't know whether it's more sad, funny, or scary just how damn formulaic and predictable Hollywood has gotten with this narrative. Awful movies succeed now just by "virtue" of being woke. And they're not even the kind of awful that's actually fun to watch, like Ed Wood's classics, for example -- just preachy feminist screeds and cultural vandalism / nihilism. :(
Back in my day being "woke" was when you did too much coke and couldn't fall asleep.
