Game of Thrones knock-off. 'Yawn'
Next.
shareActually, GoT is a knock-off of this.
shareHow so? you referring to the books?
this tv show began in 2019. you gotta admit the 'appearance' is that they are trying to capitalize on GOTs success
or, you don't gotta admit it. lol
capitalize on the game?
shareThe first Witcher stories predate the Game of Throne books by a decade.
And they are better than Martin's writings IMO.
Thanks. But I was expressly talking about the tv series
(and moreover I already mentioned that above ^^ )
I think they are more of a 1990s fantasy shows knockoff. You know, kind of like Hercules but with bigger budget, better production values and less fun.
shareI totally agree with the Hercules/90s vibe. It's so obvious to anyone who's watched Hercules that The Witcher is taking a lot of pointers from that old show, but like you said - more money, less funny.
shareThere have been fantasy books and TV series before and after Game of Thrones, so you can't claim they are all knock offs.
shareif you don't get the context of my original point then i cannot help you. i am clearly and obviously talking about the very recent climate/era of the biz, and the production/distribution decisions/projects made during THAT era, ....not for 'the past five decades of television and motion pictures'
i guess you didnt read my post thoroughly. no harm done. everyone jumps the gun now and then.
cheers.
The Witcher was released in 2007.....
shareNope. 2019
If you click on the link at the top of tihs page you will see '2019'
The Witcher Netflix show is actually based on books, video games, a movie and TV series (released in Poland) that all PRE-DATE both the Game of Thrones books and HBO Series. You are simply misinformed.
shareexcuse me, but i thought this board, and hence this thread, was for discussion of the witcher tv show. that's what it says up top ^^
so actually, YOU are misinformed
Yea and warcraft was released in 2016. They even made a few games about it afterwards :º)
shareWell then why are you here? Next.
shareIt's something I would say.
