Terrific

Old fashioned Disney at its finest. Reminds me when I was a kid (to which I mean 1991, though Disney has been doing this for a long time) and they’d make stuff like “White Fang”, “The Rocketeer”, and “Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken”, sincere flicks more about determination, heart, and triumph of human spirit. Sure, it’s hokey, sentimental, and predictable but also inspiring, thrilling, and Daisy Ridley is in the Oscar conversation. Learning about Trude Ederle and what she went through was one of the most emotionally potent experiences i’ve had with movies this year, and this is by far one of the years most underrated.
