Oh great, they can't even get Harry Mudd right! :-(

My latest rant on Discovery:

One of the FEW things I've been TOTALLY with the Discovery team on is the concept of having Harry Mudd as a reoccurring character in their prequel. When we first met Mudd in TOS he had a rap sheet a mile long, had escaped being detained and imprisoned numerous times, and we learned he had an ex-wife he loathed. We never saw Harry Mudd during the "Captain Pike" era of Star Trek so there is PLENTY of backstory you could explore about what he was up to "10 years before Kirk" took command of the Enterprise. I even liked the casting of Rainn Wilson of "The Office" fame in the role, seemed like a clever choice.

Now we get the still image of Rainn Wilson as Mudd:

Attention team Discovery: THIS DOES NOT LOOK ANYTHING LIKE HARRY MUDD "10 YEARS BEFORE KIRK!" He actually looks a great dealer OLDER than Roger C. Carmel's Harry Mudd and the look and the costume is NOTHING like the flamboyant con-man Harry Mudd (I know, I plan to cosplay as Mudd in September). Not buying it, looks as bad or worse as John Cho being a "younger" version of Sulu.

How could they screw this up? ::sigh::
