Kurtzman: “We postponed our schedule because the truth is we did not want to put out something that was subpar”
Yeah, cuz that worked out SO well when you were working on Star Trek Into Darkness, Alex.
shareYeah, cuz that worked out SO well when you were working on Star Trek Into Darkness, Alex.
shareI think the biggest trouble they brought upon themselves was by stating that this Star Trek was going to be "Progressive".
Hasn't each incarnation of Trek been progressive for the time that it was made?
Selling what fans already expect as a feature when it should be a standard ingredient has made some, myself included here, fear that the show was going to be preachy about issues which Trek has always dealt with in a nuanced and appropriate manner.
Add to that the lacklustre CGI "Teaser" and the paywall they'll thinking will make them money and we're looking at a general smash-and-grab by the intersectional equality stack hoping to pin the blame on them evil white men.
Let's hope they can tone down the social justice nonsense and focus on a good story which interesting characters like Trek has, mostly, always had.
Why not just make reboot TOS. Just have a ep when they UNDO Vulcan getting nuked, Khan, and whatever happened in Beyond...I'd be ok with more TOS...why make new crap no one cares about? LOL
Even Trek fans hated the reboots, we just put up with them
That Rich coming from a hack like Kurtzman. Everything he dose is Subpar.
shareOops! Man, Kurtzman can't write or direct worth a @#$%. So, yeah, Alex, we don't believe a thing you say.
shareYou did not want to put out something that is "subpar"? Then what do you call the two episodes I just watched?
