I'm not surprised at the critic score though considering Leto's reputation for hamming it up as well as being an overall d-bag. Critics will let him have it when they get the chance, and as okay as Morbius is, it's not good enough to make the critics hold back.

shareFinally saw it last night (waited till discount Tuesday). My humble opinion: Venom was entertaining but disappointing, Venom II was pretty bad, Morbius is worse.
I've gotten pretty good at giving movies a break if they entertain me, but this one did too much wrong to get a pass. Sigh. Ah well. . .
I've heard several people say they enjoyed it. A couple on the radio just a few minutes ago, as a matter of fact. Sorry you didn't though. That's the worst. Going to a movie and not liking it. Such a bummer/waste of time.
shareI liked Morbius the same as Venom. Both gave a good enough setup before all the CGI began. Hardy did a better job carrying the first part of the movie than Leto did, but Morbius had a slightly better villain.

sharewhy do we use RT as a barometer as to the quality of a movie? the only way to honestly judge a movie is by the box office. that being said, Transformers 4 made 1.1 billion and has a RT score of 17%.

It’s interesting that Morbius has been panned by critics yet the abysmal Wonder Woman 1984 is close to being fresh with 58% on rotten tomatoes.
I’ve not seen Morbius yet but I can’t imagine it being worse than Wonder Woman 1984.
