S3. Episode 2. picture on phone
What was the picture that made teacher trash all student phones?
shareWhat was the picture that made teacher trash all student phones?
shareNo clue. Odd way to introduce a character unless it was to show him as having an erratic or violent side that will pay off in a later episode. But even then it’s an weird choice as a setup just for that purpose.
shareIt did seem like a strange introduction. I suppose it establishes his character as someone who is "chivalrous" to a degree (redeeming character quality) but also prone to irrational & disproportionate anger & violence. This also gave him a reason to be on the run from the law. A few episodes in, and it still hasn't quite "paid off" yet as at this point they really could have just introduced him showing up out of the blue without the substitute teacher scene, but I'll keep watching but my guess is he's being set up as a "wildcard" character who's actions will eventually affect the main character in some way, likely negatively.
shareAgreed. May be a spoiler but after watching a few more episodes, I believe the purpose of the scene is to show his strong desire to right a wrongdoing (his or others) and making bad or risky or illogical choices in the process.
shareMust have been a nude pic of the girl that had that emotional reaction.
shareI interpreted it as a pic of him with the young girl, something inappropriate. We know he likes younger girls after his relationship with Ruth.
shareDon't think it's him with the girl, but it is the girl in some kind of compromising situation. He says 'She's a human being for gods sake'.
shareRuth is far from being underage though.
sharefar from being appropriate for his age though.
share37 and 26, if the actor's ages are anything to go by. 11 years isn't a bad difference once the youngest person is in their 20s....
shareRuth told Marty that he has known her since she was 19. So she is only 20 or 21 at most. And very young looking.
The guy likes younger women, hes bi polar and screwed up.
