I grew up near Degrassi High (centennial college), in East York.
And I have been to all the spots in the movie many times in my life like Gerrard Square where Joey and Tessa hooked up in his Trans Am, and when they went to the beaches etc. And that shoppers drug mart on queen
Superbad is way more hardcore and offensive, and yes overall a way better movie. Maybe they are sort of similar but nowhere near identical. Nor does that take away from Good Boys at all.
You could make the argument that superbad took its story from american pie.
Or that American Pie took its story from like Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
