No, you don't need to. The movies are stand-alone. You can watch the first one later to understand more about the main characters (Matt and Alejandro), but I don't think you need to watch it first to enjoy the second.

There are few references you will understand better if you watch the first one. But it is not essential.

That's an interesting question. In my opinion, watch the first one only. This one is just a trailer for the third film. If the third one gets good reviews, then watch this one in case the third one actually ties into this film. This one was just a silly mess.
