I really hope this doesn't turn into some Jason Bourne type of bullshit

What made me happy with the first movie was the clear picture of each character's moral compass and what they stood for. I don't think we need another movie about the same guy changing his ways to become a moral man.

Hollywood is priding itself in its ability to make money off of sequels and reboots and it's getting old. It isn't that they are running out of ideas, it's that the money is where the franchises are and money is what matters to Hollywood. Even if it means destroying the original movie's image. Hell, they're still trying to hold on to the Jason Bourne franchise!

Regardless, I'll probably go see this opening week depending on the mixed reviews that I'm sure it will get.

I'm guessing there's more to the story but the trailer reminded me of Logan.

I that think in addition to the Bourne scenario, the idea of adding episodes to Sicario seems like more is less... The first movie is great because it leaves us with so many things to think about, not in terms of plot and story, but rather in terms of the various themes of the movie, it's character's moral decisions, their world views, the greater situation and context, etc...

I've seen the sequel and it does become more of an action movie here and it does become a cowboy american saves the day in the end type of movie too.
