Weakest of Peele’s films so far

Get Out was cringey and boring where the main subject was slavery and racism with wealthy white people as the villains. Yawn.

Us was terrific and Nope was fantastic. Also, neither were prominently focused on race so they appealed to a wider audience. They were diverse rather than “woke.”

Peele has actually gotten better with each film. Can’t wait to see his next one.

I liked all 3 of his films, but I think Get Out is his best so far.

reply

I’m glad you enjoyed it.

reply

Thanks. I'm glad that you're glad that I enjoyed it.

reply

I also enjoyed it.

It's okay though, neither of you need to feel glad for me too.

reply

But I'm glad that you don't need them to feel glad.

If you say glad three times in a coherent sentence, this guy will visit you in your dreams:

You have been warned.

reply

LOL Nice.

I feel differently in that imo, Get Out is his most well rounded film, being the most focused, structurally sound, and well written of the three. Again, just my opinion, but I continually come back to Get Out, in terms of repeat viewings, Nope and Us, not so much, in fact not at all.

reply

Get Out isn't woke. Peele is literally making fun of the cringey white-liberal-types who voted for Obama. He's taking a shot at the condescending racism of liberals.

reply

I thought Get Out and Nope were decent. Us didn't do a thing for me.

reply

For me;
Get Out > Nope > Us

reply

I concur with this ranking.

Get Out was his best, Nope was decent but could have had at least a half hour of boring content edited out and Us was just bad overall.

reply

I think Get Out is his best film but I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of it or Peele. I find him a bit overrated and in danger of becoming the next M. Night Shyamalan, with interesting ideas but questionable execution.
