Is this scripted or not?

Quite obviously most of it is, and they try way to hard to be cute and funny. Like when Bradshaw put his hand thru a paper window at the geisha house.
It's only 4 hours, so just letting the guys be themselves unscripted should provide more than enough for the show.
I just watched again the part where they went to the elephant sanctuary, then the Thai village -- most of that seemed unscripted, and those were the best scenes of the whole series I thought.
Was really great to see their natural reactions to things ...
Probably a little bit of both. I don't care too much,, because I think it's funny.

Nope. But it has story arc and ask the veteran actors to improvise.
shareWhen the cart "accidentally" tipped over in Morocco that looked scripted.
shareThis show is a lot like Top Gear. There's definitely some scripting, some story setups. But a lot of horsing around and winging it while they're at it. Some of the guests on the show are clearly given direction, if not fed lines. You can definitely tell when somebody does something genuinely improv cause the guys crack right up. I'm sure the itineraries are well planned out in advance, though I do believe the guys aren't always in in know about where they're headed or what they'll be doing. I have little doubt as well that after they get their shots, they all retire to a really nice hotel for the night. I enjoy this kind of entertainment, it doesn't bother me.
