I am amazed by the generally negative comments on here about it.
Me and Quentin think it's Great.
Good for you, I thought it was a huge letdown considering how great Nolan's other films are.
It takes more than just good visual effects and cinematography to tell a good story.
Agree whole-heartedly: definitely in the decade Top 10.

Why in the blue name of heaven would the soldiers in THIS story of Dunkirk be lined up in neat queues ready to be taken off the beach, in neat long lines? The Luftwaffe would have no trouble in mowing them ALL down INSTANTLY!
Why were the beaches nearly empty? There were MANY, MANY more British and French soldiers stuck on the beach all over the place than this movie lets on! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU, NOLAN!?!
