At least as they are portrayed in Christianity. Eternal punishment is cruel, how do you determine who is good enough for Heaven and bad enough for Hell?
The Christian religion teaches that all you have to do is believe and you will be saved.
Jeffrey Dahmer accepted Christ as his savior and repented so he will be in Heaven while someone who dedicated their life to bringing down the child sex trade would go to Hell because he/she didn't believe?
How do you fully determine good and bad behavior when every action can have both good and bad results? It's fun to watch this show try to handle the complicated philosophy of eternal punishment or reward.
There is no way to rationalize the afterlife in either one of those destinations.
