Did it make you vegetarian?

Did this movie make you consider vegetarianism as a lifestyle? Are you at least curious?

I thought it was a fun movie, very disconcerting and dramatic first third/half and then gets a bit crazy as it goes even more over the top and it starts to feel like more of a horror film...

It didn't change my opinion on vegetarianism, but I do feel more sympathetic for the growing pains of young French women πŸ˜‰πŸ˜

The thing with me is that as much as I would to be a vegetarian because of all the benefits this life style has to offer and all the good intentions behind it, I love meat too much. I just couldn't see my life without eating meat. I would eat the vegan meat substitutes and they are SO expensive.

WHat do you mean health benefits?

Our natural diet is consuming animals (This is backed up by isotope data dating back millions of years)

Since we started to consume the likes of grain etc we have declined in health and this has increased over the past 100 years because of mass processed foods plus global availability of foods also we have decreased meat consumption.

It only reaffirmed my love for meat.

i hope you didn't go cannibal!

reply

Not quite, but man, the way she ate her sisters finger made me all kinds of hungry. Like she was savoring a delicious chicken wing. I had to rush out for a set of those.

reply

Nope .I was a vegetarian for almost 4 years, although I did eat wild caught fish. This movie made me glad I made the switch back....I think.

reply

Then you were pescatarian.

reply

It made me consider vegetarianism as much as Troll 2 did. Which is not at all. Nice use of it as a metaphor though.

It was an amazing ride this film.

reply

It was, wasn't it?

Certainly the most entertaining coming-of-age movie I've seen in a while 😁

reply

no. i do this as an experiment every couple of years, where i live without meat for no deeper reason whatsoever. the first burger after that might be the best experience imaginable. i could live vegan, if i had the budget but it is mighty expensive to manage since really good tasting vegan food either takes a lot of time or budget or both.

Veganism is ideology.

To be one you do not care about human health/life.

Some people will argue this but the concept of living that way causes more harm to animals etc which is suppose to be the whole point do least harm or no harm.

Not expensive at all most of the processed garbage which is Vegan is cheap the only expensive product is supplements required.

reply

lol...no, not at all.
