As much crap as Michael Bay gets, this is the one movie he should be directing

I really wish he would've directed this one and the last. Bad Boys II is a great popcorn action flick and Bay's style works perfect for this series. It will probably still be enjoyable, but without Bay I don't see them topping Bad Boys 2.

Agreed. That last one wasn't the same without his stylistic flair.

Very generic! But Bay was deemed too expensive for part 3.

I actually liked the 3rd one better than the first two movies. I get why others might like it but it did nothing for me.

Just saw it and agree. The last two installments are missing Bay's sense of style that made them work. These last two of felt like generic action comedies.

Yeah, this guys copy him alright but I don't think you could really just copy him. He has a penchant for over the top exhibitionism all his own

I thought the fourth one did a pretty good job of mimicking his style, but it would be nice to see him come back if they do a fifth one.

He seems to have a hard time with day/night transition but I can live with it. I wonder if he does it to get a sunset shot in there as quick as he can. He's a golden-hour master.
