America running out of American thespians?

Seriously, its like practically every show on TV or films these days, are having performers from the 'other' English speaking countries, namely UK, Australia, NZ, or even some Scandanavian countries (Vikander, Kinnaman,Coster-Waldau) putting up an American accent.

This will be the only comment or reply you'll get. Like I give a sh!t about YOUR interwebz opinion.

Actually, just came here to say the same exact thing.. It's an annoying trend I've noticed more and more over the last few years... Their accents are never identifiable, it takes some authenticity from the characters

reply

Why? Because all Americans speak exactly the same way????

This has been an issue with me for a long time

I had wondered if Americans noticed, or even cared about the prevalence of British actors on their screens. Not sure what its all about really. I'll blame the casting directors though, because, Dockery is a surprisingly leading lady. Not sure who thought she could carry a show to be honest.
