This movie keeps stretching what's believable (spoilers)

The bank robbery didn't make any sense. Why would Connie bring his retarded brother with him? Yes, Connie is an idiot, but even an idiot would know what a burden and liability a mentally challenged henchman would be. Nick couldn't even take care of himself!
What kind of bank hands out money just by asking for it? They didn't have to show any weapons or become aggressive in any way. I know bank tellers are advised to not put themselves at risk during robberies, but why even have all these protective screens if they aren't going to put up more of a fight?

When he has kidnapped his brother from the hospital they flee into the home of someone they just met on the bus ride there. It doesn't make any sense that they would let them inside the house. Even just letting them use the phone while they wait outside would be pushing it. It's not like they looked like anything other than a junkie with his hospital escapee. The grandma then goes to bed with two strangers in her house while her underage granddaughter is present.

His brother wakes up, which isn't really his brother it turns out, but a guy named Ray. Why wouldn't Ray want to return to the hospital (or get away from Connie as far as possible) if he's on parole and don't want to get in more trouble? It's not a crime to get kidnapped.

During the night Connie's face has been shown frequently on the local news channel, and you'd think basically all of the cops (I know there are A LOT in NYC) had seen the picture at least in passing (since the robbery was recently), but when the cops and the medical workers arrive at the funfair we get no reaction at all from any of them.

This is a 3/10 movie in my book. I don't understand the high rating on IMDB. The script is a mess.
