Satanists Don't Approve

As an Atheistic Satanist, this movie is a joke. Perhaps they need to talk to an actual Satanist before they attempt to portray fallacies that we are struggling yo overturn.

better to reign in hell than serve in heaven

hey... buddy ... how an atheist is a satanist? dummie .

The same way an atheist can be a yoga practitioner - some (most, maybe) Satanists don't believe in gods or anti-gods, but they use the christian devil for the symbolism.
Nothing dumb about this, if you think about it (and if you have the information).

No, it doesn't mean that the OP is a "dummie". When dealing with atheistic Satanism, "Satan" could be considered a psychological archetype, a natural potential/inclination/whatever that is part of everyone's psyche. Another occult field that can include atheism is "chaos magick", where it's not unusual with practitioners who believe that gods and goddesses are "tools", symbols that can be used to unlock the powers of the mind - be it paranormal such or simply in order to bring forth psychological change of a more mundane kind.

I saw this movie as NOT having attempted to portray "Satanism" in any particular way. In fact I saw it as not really having a whole lot to do with Satanism, per se, but rather just using that partcular group of practitioners as the backdrop to the main plot/character. I'm speaking of the character, Alice.

I think the practices of Satanism were really irrelevant, and therefor not even really touched on in the very short amount of screen time that the group of "Satanists" are seen in the film. I saw it as being the vehicle used to relay to the viewer that whatever it is that each viewer may believe Satanists do, or practice, is very, very tame compared to the practices of the main character, Alice. Whatever evil/negative practices she was involved with, the Satanists wanted absolutely nothing to do with.

If anything, I saw it as portarying Satanists in a much more positive light, than negative.. the Satanists were NOT into the negative/evil practices, thus the reason they were cutting all ties with Alice, period.
