This is in the movie's storyline description on IMDb.

Not sure this is 100% accurate, many large (50 ft +) marine predators have existed throughout the planets history. Most of their maximum lengths/weights are only conjecture. There are those who believe the Giant Squid 'Architeuthis' could approach 100 ft, or has in the past.

Why are you arguing opinions? Some scientist may disagree with others, it's very common.

You used the word believe, the alluded to something not being 100 percent accurate.
