Wasn’t much a kids movie more of a adult movie.

The movie I thought was good but some scene were really dark and the chi looked blurry at times unless it was my theater screen.

Were you seeing it in 3D?

Sometimes 3D can make it darker. I watched it in Imax (non-3D) and didn't notice it being blurry or dark. The movie looked fantastic with all the different creatures. I really liked the other dark faeries and Maleficient's new lore. To me it was better and more balanced than the original and felt like a satisfying conclusion if we don't get a third one.

bullshit
it started off well enough but then went into the whole fairy tale ending bit - in fact, i'd say it's much worse than the original
peeps are fighting and killing each other one minute and the moment the queen is killed, they are hugging each other - WTF?

Remember it is a Disney kids film lol so it needed to have a good fairytale ending, however it looks like the film was longer and they trimmed it down

The darker the better for children to appreciate, I grew up on dark Russian fairytales about devils (old scratch) and terrfying witches, they were meant for children, not adults, there is a difference between dark and corrupted, in terms of morals.

Every time some moron claims that children should not be allowed to see grim fiction just point out to brother grim tales.

True, the original tales were very dark.
