What 80s reference was missing for you?

I enjoyed some of the references. Walkman. NES in the garage. VCR. Record Player. Some of the music was good, like Rule The World, despite not being 1987.

I would have liked more of the 87 chart to feature, as it was a great year for music. A pinnacle really. 87 and 88 had great music. 89 you see a decline as it shifts into 90s music.

I would have had the little brother on a bmx. Maybe a Michael Jackson Bad poster somewhere.

For some reason I rolled my eyes at the A.L.F. reference. He really wants to watch A.L.F.? Maybe the little brother saying that would have been funnier.

Maybe an 80s style mall or 80s mcdonalds would have been cool.

What did you want?

Nobody actually liked Alf. It was a joke even back then.

reply

Well, it was a sitcom, so yeah it was a joke.

reply

Exactly, it was horrible. So many other cool shows in the 80's that could have been referenced. Heck, Knight Rider would have been perfect! (talking car, Director's name, etc).

reply

Kids certainly liked ALF. I remember being a pretty big fan.

reply

The hottie girl and the little brother stood outside a cinema showing Superman IV, Jaws The Revenge, and Masters of the Universe..and arguing which to see

Do what? Music was still great in the 90's. Although I suppose it all depends on your age. I think the originality of music ended in the mid 2000's. We now live in a age of generic pop music.

reply

I'm not a big fan of 90s music. Of course, some great hits here and there, but it's meh to me.

reply

Are you "get off my lawn old"?

reply

Haha I was thinking the same thing! And you didn't get an answer so we can assume it was a "yes"!

reply

dang old people, might have fell asleep. music today is just terrible. my local stations still play music from the 90's even though its billed as a modern music station.

reply
