Will Season Two be better or worse than Season One?
I'll say worse though I think it will still be worthwhile.

Season Two was not very coherent.
Tributes turned into plagiarism, in my opinion. Lots and lots of cliches.
Cheap jump-scares in episode 8.
Totally unneeded 8. I mean, she's interesting and her band of misfits deserved at least a couple of episodes and more screen-time. I'd love to see how she got out of the lab, for example - some flashbacks would have been appropriate. Some more gradual emotional changes in 11 would have been logical too. As it is it was a waste of an episode.
A total waste of Max. Basically she was a token female character - a Yoko Ono to the Nerd Quartet. She could have really changed the dynamics there and the way the do things. Skate into danger "Zoomer" - that kind of thing.
But the main disappointed was this - I expected something totally new and fresh. Instead they simply went the way of the Alien franchise. More monsters and a freaking hive-queen. During the closing of the Gates I was expecting Hopper to scream: "Get away from her, you bitch!"
