Will this be coming out on blu ray? I don't have Netflix but have been told it's awesome especially for someone who like 80s stuff. How can I watch this?
shareNo announcement yet, but you're not alone in wanting a release like that. I mean, it's not even just the physical media angle; this is a show that people want to own. At this time, a Netflix subscription is the only legal option. Unless, perhaps, you count tracking down one of those For Your Consideration DVDs.
shareDownload it. Who knows when, or even if, a bluray set will be released. The DVDs you may have seen advertised are all bootlegs, mostly out of China, and don't contain all the special features you might expect from a traditional box set. Look around. If you know where to go for downloads you can get Stranger Things in 1080p, or even 2160p UltraHD formats.
That's what I did, and I have Netflix. I just wanted more permanent copies and if they're not going to bother making them available they've got no right to complain about piracy. If there was a Season 1 set complete with deleted scenes, making of featurettes, cast interviews, etc., I'd grab it in a second. But as of right now there's still no release date listed.
That supposed Target exclusive looks marvelous. Definitely worth owning!
Ordered the Blu-Ray from Target online, received it today. Should definitely make a very nice collectible.
shareI got a copy on the first day, and as expected it’s an awesome release. Can’t imagine owning a more excellent copy of the show than this exclusive (I gladly would, though).
