Babies?
Don't have teeth. How did they 'eat' their way out?
shareHow do zombies even exist? How would a zombie who is supposedly just a human parasitized by fungus survive for 13 years without eating or drinking? How can the little girl survive for a quarter hour between taking a breath? How does a truck which has been stood for a decade still run? Why do zombies activated by noise not give a *beep* about gunfire in thier midst after freaking out because a woman gasped? Why would a group of people treat the zombie in thier midst like it is a kid when half the film is it barely keeping its *beep* together and not killing people and the other half is it covered in blood after killing something/one. (Seriously this could go on and on)
Zombie film magic, just go with it :D.
Though yeah, I agree the babies "eating thier way out" is especially *beep* silly.
Just a warning, if that annoyed you, you dont want to read the book, from what I have seen it is maniacally silly. IE apparently the zombies who supposedly spend all thier time standing still to conserve energy also occasionally bump uglies for some reason (which somehow leads to children?). And apparently the offspring of the second generation (ie Melanie and the ferals) become superhumans with genuine magical powers.

How do you know baby zombies don't have teeth? They are not like real human babies.
shareEver thought they could gum their way out?
shareMaybe used their hands a little. Sharp little fingernails might eventually get them out.
They aren't like normal babies!
Plenty of human babies are born with teeth.
Not a huge leap to say ALL infected babies are born with teeth.
"I'll hit you with so many rights you'll be begging for a left."
Real question is... how do they survive until they can run after prey? Look out, people, there is baby zombie crawling! It will eat us all! Lord have mercy on our souls!
shareMaybe because it's not a human baby. One of their special ability must be growing teeth at such a younger age.
shareShe never said they BIT their way out, but that they ATE their way out. So the tiny strong hands and nails of a baby tore the flesh from the womb walls and then stuffed it into the mouths so the baby could eat.
