Funny you say that. There was the cartoon Extreme Ghostbusters which is on Hulu where an older Egon trains and leads a new team of Ghostbusters. It ran for 40 episodes. I hated it when I was a kid but like it now. We got around 76 good episodes of the cartoon Real Ghostbusters which was a good sequel too.
