Sitting here watching LOL funny

This show is hilarious!!!

reply

No. Just no, weak lame humor. I give it 4 episodes before they pull it. Unless there's a great big group of mouth breathing, blue collar folks that clamor after low brow laughs.

reply

Wow, you're so intelligent with your high brow humor... congratulations.

Hey everybody, look! It's a faux-intellectual!

It's just ridiculous and not in a very realistic-funny way. Everyone's in a meeting at the same time? Who is on the sales floor? People are just allowed to go on break whenever they want and for however long they want? Unlikely at such a store. No one really does much work and they all stand around chatting together for extended periods of time (and not while working). No one's really assigned to certain areas or in charge of certain things. I did retail at a smaller, clothing store and there were lots more rules to follow and we were always meant to be doing things (although we obviously chatted if it was a super slow night and there were no customers and everything was done). It's just boring.

reply

Well obviously not many people thought that since it got renewed for season 2!

reply

I agree, I think it's great.

reply

Great is a little strong. Surprisingly decent is probably a better description. I'll admit when I first heard the premise I dismissed it as just a People of Walmart comedy, but it is actually much deeper than that. It has promise, but not really much place to go with it.

What do you mean "no place to go"? We've been introduced to about a dozen characters, each with their own story to tell. And we have a love triangle brewing between Jonah and the two women (and Amy is actually married). And each customer might have a story.

There's hundreds of stories here. I mean, "The Office" lasted eight seasons, based on a rather weak premise of office workers doing their jobs.

It was a surprise to see Amy put on the wedding ring when she was in the parking lot, but I wondered if her husband is deceased, when she was walking in the parking lot, she looked up to the sky as she put on her wedding ring. I enjoy this show and hope it doesn't get cancelled.

reply

I agree!! The (hilarious & all too human) possibilities are endless!!

reply

The first episode was meh. The second actually made me laugh.

The writers need to tone down Jonah. I know he is supposed to be the "Jim Halpet"-like character of this show but fails miserably.

Instead he comes off like a douchebag.

Just discovered this show and binged all three episodes. Each episode had genuine LOL moments for me. I'm pleasantly surprised & pleased.

I like it. Funny LoL!

reply

I love it! Everybody needs a reminder from time to time that your job could be even crumbier! Do you suppose Wally-World HR folks are watching this?

reply

I found it funny as well but also uneven. The characters don't quite gel, but it could happen with some more time. There's a lot of potential here!

I like this show
