Do I need to watch the first part for this?
I'm interested in this one because of Flanagan.

Nah. Watching anything in this series is ill advised

No. The only real connection is a post credit scene, but not in a way that has any impact on the story.

No, don't waste your time on the first one. It's horrible. This one stands on it's own and is actually much better 😊

The first is complete rubbish. This one is a significant improvement and actually not bad, and as far as I remember thankfully doesn't bother following on from the first too much. Just look at the gap in the ratings on Rotten Tomatoes between the two films. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the largest gap between a first and second film.
