When is this going to stop...

First off, I enjoyed this movie for what it was. I gave it a 6/10. Bad acting, but the clown was actually pretty creepy and there was good gore.

But when will this crap stop with the "let me hit the killer once and then run away" trend? This happens way too often and happened about three or four separate times in this movie alone. It is unrealistic. People can argue "you don't know what you would do in that situation" but let's be real. The instinct to survive is about the strongest natural instinct there is and it just doesn't make sense to have this trend continue through movie after movie.

I watched the woman stab the clown once and then run off. I watched the man hit the clown with a piece of wood from behind and knock him out and then run. It's just stupid.

Lets say the protagonist beats Art to death halfway through the movie...then what?
I guess the only option is to not have those sort of close calls.

I think instead, they should settle down and discuss their issues reasonably like adults.

Have you ever been attacked by a terrifying clown? You speak as if you haven't. As someone who has many times been attacked by a terrifying clown, let me tell you right now that you are wrong. Often yes you can get in one good shot on a terrifying clown, but when you do your biological fight or flight is still there, and you just fought so now you flee. That's pure biology. I've been lucky enough to hit a terrifying clown with a golf club once, and another time with a heavy spatula, and once I got him very good with a stomach punch. Guess what? Every time after I ran. Sure, later when I thought it over I knew I could have probably hit him a second time, but when you are facing a terrifying clown you don't think that way. Biology takes over. Maybe if you ever had actually encountered a terrifying clown you would know this.

As a fellow survivor of multiple terrifying clown acts of violence, thank you, brother. My local chapter of Survivors of Terrifying Terrifying Clown Attacks stands with you. Honk, honk.

Thank you, friends. These kinds of support groups are a major reason why I so value moviechat.

We REFUSE to only be defined by our clown-related trauma.

You're welcome. I just get so sick of people who have no experience with terrifying clowns talking like they know something. Down at my chapter of STTCA we call those people Monday Morning Ringmasters.
