Pretty good send off prime time special.
It played to Corden's strengths. The real Corden. That shared intimate relationships with stars and the theater. This was fun. Bullshit generic talk show host with nonsense comedy segments was not his strength. The special was 30 minutes of Tom Cruise, 20 minutes of Adele which actually made me cry, and ten minutes of best of reel which didn't really capture the highlights of the show well. Never could tell if he couldn't figure it out, or if the network wouldn't allow him to. Poor bastard never wore a fitting suit the whole time. Anyhow, so long guy.
