Couldn't keep watching because granddaughter such a bitch

I barely remember my grandma before she died but I would have NEVER treated her like that!!!! And she was only trying to help! I turned movie off when she (the granddaughter) kept saying "screw you grandma" ...... Sorry I just can't watch someone be so disrespectful to their grandma no matter how awful they thought they were.

You should've carried on watching.

We see she has a mother who is emotionally neglective, unempathetic and someone who has had a psychological impact on her life.

The grandmother wanted her so be more assertive and say things like "screw you grandma" and just "screw you" in general to people who were a-ssholes

Grandmothers are people like anyone else. They aren't a set female role to be venerated. Guess you missed that in your little world.
