Ratings for S6
down 52% in the 18-49 demo, down 35% overall. But still renewed for Season 7.
shareI really enjoyed the first three seasons. It jumped the shark in season 4, IMO. I did watch Season 5 Part 1, but nothing after that.
shareSource for renewal?
shareShowtime's press release:
"SHOWTIME has picked up a seventh season of its acclaimed drama series BILLIONS, starring Oscar(R) nominee and Emmy(R) winner Paul Giamatti, Corey Stoll and Maggie Siff. Season six is currently airing on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME."
Thx! S6 was meh but I'll still watch.
shareGlad to see it. Enjoyed the show very much. I watched an episode each night for 2 1/2 months. I enjoyed the musical references, the intelligent characters from millenial to the boomer's, the casting, the uniqueness in the characters, the writing, the way every body got beat up now and then, Wendy's pop psychology, the way they went from Axe to Prince without skipping a beat. The old man was a real bastard at times but relentless. The curve balls the writers threw at you.
It was very entertaining. Can't wait for season 7.
Didn't watch one minute this season, even when I had free Showtime. I just loved Damian Lewis in Band of Brothers and Homeland. In Billions he held the story together. Without searching all over this site how do you fans think of the show without him? Thanks
shareHuge loss. I'm hoping he makes at least one appearance before it's cancelled. And as I said in the OP, ratings are way down, so I'm sure his departure is at least partially responsible.
