alas, I didn't make it through this boring slog.
can some one spoil this plot point for me:
was there ANY relativity to the point about the land the guy got with the dowery, verses the land the other guy got, and how maybe owning the girl or killing one of them gave the other all the land?
I guess I got far enough see who got to own what, but then fast skipped to the end, and don't recall see how those lands factored in to everything. Maybe that was an unexpanded plot direction that could have made the whole thing much more interesting? Maybe I should be a writer? :D
