Good question as she just kind of disappeared. Another plot hole that'll remain a mystery.

She was in house arrest at the ranch - John was killed in the Governor's mansion.

They'll probably dismiss her character with a line or two about being paroled.

Yeah i know John was at the Governor's Mansion, i was talking about when we see Beth and Kayce go back to the Yellowstone and Summer's not there.
