I guess it's the actress I find unlikable...

Sarah Wayne Callie's plays the exact annoying, nagging, arrogant character she played on The Walking Dead. I'm guessing that's simply her true personality and she just can't act.

As for the character, while I see this camp for what it is, who is she to come in and start making demands? Gauntlet or not, she didn't earn any seat at any table. If she doesn't like following orders from a nut job leader, then she needs to leave. When you're in someone else's house, normal or not, you shut up and follow their rules, or get out.

They picked a perfect actor for her son Bram. He's just as obnoxious and annoying.

I think a lot of people just can't get past Lori Grimes. That said, coming on so strong with a guy as intense and potentially volatile as MacGregor was not smart. He's not going to trust anyone until they prove themselves. That's how you get on the inside, not by stepping on his toes every chance you get and trying to go around him.

Bram is pretty much your average 18 year old male. Sometimes reliable, sometimes angsty and self-absorbed, often given to impulsive behavior. Have any teenage children of your own?

A lot of people, myself included, have no idea who Lori Grimes is (I had to look).

She's a TV actress and she's perfectly suited for this role AND is doing a decent job. This isn't Shakespeare. Honestly, it's a really trite thing to not like a show for, because you don't like one of the actors.

I think this actress gets a lot of unfair criticism in general.

I do watch The Walking Dead, and there was nothing wrong with Lori Grimes either.

The character of Lori Grimes was apparently described to Sarah as being a bit self-centered, sometimes oblivious to the concerns and problems of others, etc. I think the thing that made a lot of viewers dislike her character was when she pretty much told Rick that Shane was dangerous and he needed to do whatever was necessary to protect his family. Then, when he does and tells her about it, she pulls away like she doesn't want him touching her.

I didn't think Lori Grimes was especially unlikable. But regardless, she's just a character. Negan is a much bigger aѕѕhole (Lori never put a red hot iron to anyone's face) but Jeffrey Dean Morgan doesn't get hate over it. I don't why Sarah is different. It just seems like Walking Dead fans who hate Lori Grimes with a passion carry that hate for her to every role she plays.

Actually, I think the Bowmans' responses to the crazy circumstances in which they find themselves are fairly true to life. You can imagine the dilemmas faced by people living in that world. Most of the ones around them have completely capitulated in the name of self-preservation, so I'd argue Will and Katie Bowman are handling things far better than most. Keeping more of the mindset of free human beings who haven't lost hope for the future.

Well, she was just a normal flawed human being. I remember there were times with Andrea where I felt like why doesn't somebody shoot her already - I never felt that way about Lori.

Either way though, I don't see what that has to do with the actress.

reply

Exactly. For some reason a certain segment of the Walking Dead fan base has trouble separating the person from the role. Don't ask me, I don't get it either.

reply

Let me guess, not a fan of Kathleen Kennedy either?

reply

That doesn't make even a little bit of sense.

That said, she was involved with the only Indiana Jones movie I wish was never made, and she's one of the few people that could turn Star Wars to crap. Though she was involved with a lot of good stuff prior to 1993 and only The sixth Sense post 1993. Maybe she should retire.

I cant defend Crystal Skull.
