Sarah Wayne Callies and her character.
I hate both. Makes me want to go watch TWD again so I can see her character die there.

shareI like her.
shareTWD fanboys are probably one of the worst things that have happened to this world. And no, I'm not exaggerating. The amount of time they spend trashing this actress and her characters is downright pathetic. Can't tell if they're jealous because she always seems to be working (and getting major roles every single time) or just trolling.
shareI sooo agree with, LexiPorter. What they fail to understand in their itty bitty minds is that for Sarah Wayne Callies to hated across genres, and to continue to work without break, she must possess an incredible acting ability. I fear they haven't seen her in anything other than TWD or COLONY which are basically the same genre.

Have you guys seen her in Into the Storm and Pay the Ghost? She's horrible. I'm all for people making it big from my state(she was born 20 miles from me), but she's horrible.
shareI like her on this and think this role fits her. She has a very understated acting style and it suits someone working for the resistance.
Lori was a terribly written character. The early seasons of TWD had weaknesses in storylines and writing. Andrea was also a horrible part.
she must be the most hated actress. can't stand her either. don't know why. I didn't like her in TWD either.
shareI think because of TWD it has become "a thing" to criticize her. I think people have lost objectivity with her. I see nothing wrong with her performance in this show.

Definitely. People can't see past Lori Grimes, who was incidentally supposed to be self-centered and not all that likable. Hence Andrea ripping into her in Season 2.
Same face, same voice, but guess what? Different character. Katie Bowman is not Lori Grimes. I think bad blood is leaking over from TWD and biasing people toward Sarah's role in this show.
I've never seen TWD and I really like her here.
shareHer character needs horsewhipping.
shareYou with the horsewhipping. What turned me off of Lori Grimes in TWD was that scene where Rick confessed to killing Shane and she pulled back from him, like she didn't want him touching her. After she pretty much came right out and told him to do it. Guess things got a little too real for her at that point. But Sarah Wayne Callies said during several interviews that Lori was a self-centered character, that's just who she was. Katie Bowman is NOT Lori Grimes. Sometimes I think people who watch both shows have a hard time with that distinction.
Everyone in history who's ever fought for freedom has put themselves - and potentially their families - at risk. But what kind of world would we have today without them? People back in colonial America lived much closer to the ragged edge of survival than we do. Most of them grew (and raised) the food they ate. When some members of a family went off to fight, the rest were left to take up the slack. If there was a big storm, a drought, etc. their little labor shortage could prove critical. Should they have all stayed home?
Katie is one of those people who was unwilling to sit by and let it happen. You can't fight oppression without risk. Should she have just hunkered down and turned a blind eye like so many others around her? I've heard lots of people criticize her because her actions have put her family and friends in danger. Well I hate to say it, but that's the price of freedom. Always has been. If you're not willing to sacrifice for it, you're going to be dominated and maybe that's all you deserve. Of course in this case things are much worse. If humanity doesn't fight back, they're going to be extinct. Doing nothing puts you at more risk not less.
Both Lori and Katie need bullwhipping.
