Because of Season 2's Poor Ratings...

Is there going to be a season 3?

The first season did pretty good. But since the writers and producers brought too many weird changes to the cast and story, the ratings have not been so good, at least compared to the first season. Even I'm finding it a chore to watch now.

So is there a possibility that the show might get canned? Can it survive with poor ratings? There are only 3 episodes left this season.

reply

Hmmm I think season 2 is way better than season 1.

I think the "changes" are not changes at all but are developments that were always planned. I think that season 2 has been awesome so far. Season 1 was only "good".

Exactly my thoughts. Season one was good, season two is great. I like how the characters have progressed.

reply

Agreed. I love this show and think it keeps getting better. It and Mr Robot are the shows I watch ASAP this summer.

reply

The show is crap, cancel it and be done with it.

reply

For our illustration, what sf show do you consider "good"?

reply

Why not just pretend it has and bother with it no more. Problem solved.

'Cause he is a troll who can't do that. 99 percent of his posts on the IMDB boards are sexist, racist and homophobic so it is not surprising that he has a problem with Dark Matter.ξ€²

Yes, these boys whom show up to troll on IMDB are REALLY weird. Anti-social, irresponsible, co-dependent, and dysfunctional rejects? How bizarre yet fitting that they should show up on the net, more commonly. It's no secret their trademarks are (neural) issues with social interaction on appropriate levels, lacking respect for women, compassionate men, children, pets, the disabled, lacking ability to form constructive thought processes in association to hard data or 'feelings,' incite provocation and have their own behavioral issues triggered by reactionary mental faculties (mental instability), demonstrate quite the inferiority complex, and etc, etc. It's strange. There's the sociopath element as well.

And 'lucky' for us whom just seem to enjoy life and even critical thinking (without necessarily criticizing everything we suppose is slightly flawed or vulnerable to criticism), media and fiction seem to attract their power struggles/battles with 'audiences' they don't need to directly interact with. Meaningless mental battles staged for improper co-dependence and attention - 'trolls.' The phenomenon is certainly past it's 'entertainment' stage.

yes. totally agree. but as with an abscessed tooth, what to do with it? leave it to continue infecting nearby tissue, or get rid of it?

not being vindictive or malicious in any way, but even Nature culls the herd.

I for one believe we as a species are well past the point of allowing such behavior(s) to continue. maybe that's just me.

reply

It got renewed for season 3. It's still one of the top 5 biggest rated shows on the SyFy channel.

Last Films seen:
Morgan(2016)- 8/10
The Light Between Oceans(2016)- 9/10

Personally I've liked all the episode so far. It's not like I've that much choice when it comes to Sci-fi.

reply

I like it too and think it's got better with smarter plots. I like that the USA is not mentioned.

reply

Dark Matter also gets a good bump on Netflix.

SyFi wants those dollars streaming in from alternative markets.

reply

Great plot idea for 3rd season: Female character with surprising strength turns out to have escaped from some kind of test facility.

reply

Pfft Season 2 was a solid return and liked how the show grew from the first season and how much darker second season turned out by the end.

reply

Just binged both seasons, good show, I liked them both..maybe the second even more. Quite impressed. How was Killjoys season 2? Gonna rewatch ythat then 2 and hopefully 12 monkeys!
