The first season did pretty good. But since the writers and producers brought too many weird changes to the cast and story, the ratings have not been so good, at least compared to the first season. Even I'm finding it a chore to watch now.
So is there a possibility that the show might get canned? Can it survive with poor ratings? There are only 3 episodes left this season.
Well, I liked the first season. I don't understand the reason for all the changes in the second season though. They have introduced several new characters but they're uninteresting and it seems forced.
What are the ratings for like the last two shows? In the past, Syfy wasn't exactly known for their patience with low ratings shows. The apear to be more patient now. 12 Monkey's did have great ratings either yet they renewed it last year.
I think it was because his character wasn't very popular. A lot of people didn't like him during the first season and I always found him to be kinda dull even though I didn't hate him so when they were looking to kill off a member of the cast to make an impact they chose the least popular one. I am happy they chose him and not Six 'cause I think Six is a better character and has more to offer.
I doubt it will be the last we will see of One/Jace though and I am pretty sure we will find out who killed his Wife.

I highly doubt that, Joe Mallozzi has stated a few times, he already had plans on where this story would go prior to making tv production out of it. In addition, the comments (social media feedback, cons) on his death have indicated the audience was disappointed, if anything by it. And as we know, he had been 'resurrected' of sorts at least the once thus far.
Well, I hope so because I want to see them stay with space-based sci-fi - but if they do cancel it, there's just a chance that future show writers will realise you can't fill a show with superwomen, make the men basically redundant, and not expect a backlash in the form of lower ratings.
I have said it before, we can expect them to tone down the "ALL MEN ARE STUPID" comments, I'm sure they got the message. For even the reminder of this season I bet the material written in that tone will be edited out.
Yeah, what fresh nonsense is THIS? Aww... me poor narcissistic guy, woman too strong, <grunt>. Woman weak, inferior, and just sex object <grunt>.
Yes, let's have Two just serve as sexbot, or kitchen maid, sandwich server. Goood ideas, bravo, that's the best some 'dude' can come up with. Why are they even wasting our time by informing us they're still somehow interested in watching this show?? If you're that stupid, I mean, we're not going to help you figure out how you can switch the channel or grow some ba*ls.
Honestly, season one I found quite enjoyable. The character dynamic was terrific, the whole amnesia story was really cool. The characters upon discovering who they really were, dangerous criminals and mercenaries, were quite disturbed. They were only learning to work together as a team and there was One who was not really like the rest and kind of the moral compass of the team. And we could see that slowly they were changing their ways and becoming the good guys. And I found that story, the events and the characters really unique.
Again, this may only be my opinion. But the ratings were also pretty good too.
I' am bing watch Dark Matters and season two is better then one! It gets a lot more interesting and the conspiracy is beginning to be fill in along with how their society works and who is controlling it!
I agree, it is getting more complex and surprising twists have taken place (character deaths that are unusual for beloved scifi shows, well, unless you're in Farscape...sigh).
I hope they find some way to bring back Marc Bendavid though, he had great chemistry... with Three! With everyone, actually...
