I don't think it meant anything. Just hanging a lampshade on the Dawson casting. She really does pass for much younger. Considering how old Wil Wheaton looks in the show, and it's implied Two was constructed in a lab as a full grown woman.Two is probably ten years old or around such. I don't know why I brought that up but I find it pretty funny.

She's also an actress cast in a role for which she must look the part, including the physicality, which is what a great many castings are missing these days.

Damn 5 looked good in that blond wig and that outfit.

Rewatch the opening scene where they wake up and are all wearing outfits that are... snug!! 

You know, I thought maybe they were working up to a romance plotline for her. She seemed to be into the doctor they picked up on the prison. But nothing ever went anywhere with that.

That was 'cause she was too young at the time. I honestly don't see Five having a relationship with any of the other characters on this show. Two I can see being in another relationship with I think Five will stay single and the relationship she has with Three is more like a relationship between a younger sister and an older brother and shouldn't be twisted into something perverted.

Well that's my point. They had referred to her as a "kid" in season one. But with comments like the one in the subject line they seemed to be setting up that she's not really a kid and maybe allowing them to do more mature storylines with her.

I always thought they called her "kid" not only because of her age, but also her size and her age in relation to the other members of the crew. It's just a nickname.
