When did you realize this movie sucked
For me it was when the 2 sidekicks tried to jump off the mountain
shareFor me it was when the 2 sidekicks tried to jump off the mountain
shareSo what was it about Black Widow and Hawkeye both attempting to jump off the mountain made the movie suck for you? What would you have wanted to have happened that would have made it NOT suck or would have made the movie enjoyable for you?
Just curious.
If after BW and Hawkeye argued back and forth for a while and right after BW says "It should be me". Hawkeye says "OK" and then pushes her off the mountain. That would've made that scene not suck for me.
shareIt didn't suck. For me it is the best film of the year.
shareIt didn’t suck , it was a fantastic movie, looking forward to the 4K blue ray release and why did black widow sacrificing herself for the soul stone suck ? Was it to complicated for you to follow ?
sharegiven all the weight this film had to carry, being the climax of a 22 film arc, something truly unprecedented i think, i actually don't know if it could have been any better.
which isn't to say it's perfect. but it wrapped up an enormous, ambitious story in a way that was fun & genuinely exciting & emotionally satisfying & moving. & that's not a small thing. so credit where credit is due.
which is to say, i think it did not suck.
why did you think black widow and Hawkeye trying to sacrificed themselves for the soul stone made the movie suck for you?
that sounds stupid.
Is that what you think i said? Im sorry that the education system let you down so bad that you lack the reading comprehension skills possessed by a 4th grader. Next time ill use pictures and single syllable words.
shareWhen Antman proposed to do time travel, and when it was made clear that this is infinite time travel, nothing bad even happens when you fight yourself in the past, or hug your dad, or decide to stay in the past. The whole movie had two captain americas living in the same world, just one was having fun with his gf, hell, even two Mjolnirs right? It makes 0 sense, this kind of time travel is stronger then the infinity stones.
shareActually this kind of time travel makes the most sense. A multiverse is the only way time travel to the past can actually work.
My only problem with the specific execution in this one was the "splitting" of universes. I never liked that as it implies that the split allows a copy of the entire universe to be created instantaneously. To me it is just easier to have each universe already existing and people jump from one to the other.
Explain to me, Gamora died right? In the same way as Black widow. But Gamora is back now..? But Black widow can not be brought back?
shareI would be glad to...
There is absolutely nothing that would prevent a version of Black Widow from being brought into the prime timeline in the same manner that the 2014 version of Gamora was.
Avengers could set up the contraption, go to some point in history and bring a copy into the prime timeline after the final battle of Endgame. Of course that Black Widow would be a different person
What they could not do is get the version of Black Widow who lived through the same experiences as they did. THAT version of Black Widow had to live through the same experience and unfortunately sacrifice herself. She HAD to die in order for them to get the soul stone.
You might have a problem with my explanation or simply ask "Well, a copy is better than nothing, so go get one."
To that I would say it is better story wise for the powers that be to not do that. Black Widow sacrificed herself and any re-occurrence of her after Endgame would, to use a phrase, be an insult to her memory.
In Gamora's case however, she did not sacrifice herself she was sacrificed by Thanos. In Infinity War it added to his character in that it showed he could love another person. For Gamora's character it was a waste. Now with a copy of Gamora from before she met Peter she will be able to grow again.
If you are thinking that we have seen her grow once we do not need to see that again this time there is a difference: In the first two Guardians films Gamora seemed to be the more mature person in comparison to the childish Peter and obsessed Nebula. NOW the dynamic is turned around and, at least I think this way, the character development of Gamora will be more interesting.
I hope this helped.
Ha. . .sorry. NONE of that makes sense; whole cloth.
Without going into detail, one thing is for sure: getting your conception of how physics works from comic books is a BAD idea.
All that to the side, the concept of "parallel universes" and people jumping back and forth doesn't thread logically through what happens, in any case.
As soon as Time Travel is introduced I know the movie is going to be bad. It's the ultimate "We can do whatever we want now!" crutch.
shareI am 25 minutes in and that entire stretch has been completely sucking away any interest or appreciation that had been earned by previous installments. It is like a cheesy soap opera without the self awareness that it is a cheesy soap opera. As another commenter here wrote - "Suddenly devoting time to them as if any serious drama has been imparted along the way in this circus is ridiculous." The weak dialogue, long pointless moments of dull "reflection", and hackneyed swells of symphonic nonsense leave me hesitant to devote another 156 minutes to it.
p.s. Downey's mumbling has progressed to the point where I don't think I've understood 10% of what he uttered - which is a shame because his lines were likely the most amusing by far.
I realized that at half past a monkey’s ass; a quarter to his balls. You?
