That series has never been canon to the MCU

Well, the series did explain a lot of stuff in Age of Ultron. Like how the Avengers found the location of Loki´s staff and how Nick Fury got the helicarrier.

Ming-Na Wen herself, who kicks ass as May btw, stated that the show has now definitely separated from the MCU.

If true, this obviously changes absolutely nothing for the films. For AOS? Despite the Thanos references that were made last season, for a while now the show hasn’t seemed to be all that concerned with connecting things to the MCU. I think it only makes sense for them to do this, and I honestly don’t care that much. I mean at this point, what’s the use in keeping up with the “illusion” like the other Marvel shows? (For the record, seeing OG Jarvis from Agent Carter appear in Endgame was awesome.)

The only true MCU shows will be those coming to Disney+.

Let's just call it that when they went forward in time last season and subsequently came back in time, they actually separated from the MCU timeline, maybe?

That is indeed a realistic view of events.

For me Agents of SHIELD ruined the connection with their take on HYDRA and the Inhumans. It was a non impactful storyline with Hive and the Inhumans IMAX series arc was the stake in the MCU connection heart.

I was done with both after that.

That's absolutely true, there have been disconnections from the very beginning. A weird theme of reacting to the movies (for the most part) but also involving stories that would somewhat affect the movies, but the movies not reacting in turn. The netflix shows unfortunately suffered the same fate.

I don't care as I really don't like Agents of Shield.

Netflix's Marvel shows - Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders were all far superior to any season of Agents of Shield. It's a true loss that they got cancelled, even though we are getting a Jessica Jones, Season 3.

Maybe they gave Agents of Shield a different timeline so they can finally kill the show. Good riddance, I say.

With Disney though, who knows?
