Years ago I said Thanos should be defeated by Captain America while wielding Thors hammer and being bonded with Captain Universe. The hammer to show him being worthy and being bonded to show the desperation of the situation.
Sadly I doubt I will get to see it.
You never know, the Quantum Realm is kinda sorta the Microverse...

Hell, after the events of Infinity War, some have said that it could/should even be Stark that is given this moment with Thor’s weapon given his line about Thanos being in his head for years. Not to mention he put up a good fight against the Mad Titan.
Now whether or not anything like this goes down (maybe Thor can actually finish the job next time around), it is an epic idea. But Cap should definitely go out with a bang.
Yea it should be cap and not Stark. Even in the comics Cap had that moment of standing up to Thanos when everyone else was down. They even hinted at it when Cap caught the gauntlet with 5 stones. "great scene"
The whole build for the past 10 years has been leading to Cap being THE guy. He got less screen time in IW because what I assume is him having a bigger role in the final encounter.
Plus like MisterE said we dont know how this will actually play out but throw in quantum realm and things can change. Time travel will play a factor, Thor can get his hammer back. And he should.
One thing im sure of is that we wont be let down. I just hope they saw my message from years ago. lol.

shareI thought he was able to lift it in that scene in Ultron when they all tried it out. It clearly moved and my theory is that when he felt it move he faked struggling with it because he didn't want to freak out Thor or have the rest of the team feel jealous.
