This is a shady and malicious move from marvel to blacklist james gunn

They used out of context tweets to justify marvel getting rid of james gunn.

The actual reason why he was fired is creative differences turned nasty. James gunn expected a similar arrangement to the first 2 where he got plenty of creative say. As it turned out, kevin feige wanted more creative control by increasing the number of villians and pointless sideplots.

When james refused, marvel then fired him. He went to disney to complain of kevin's ruthless tactics (being abusive to directors like james gunn, edgar wright, Joss whedon, and the Russo brothers). This backfired as bob iger's wanted to keep kevin.

Bob then resorted to a malicious move by pulling joke tweets as a reason to blacklist james gunn. Keep in mind they have no problems with allowing unpleasant drunks like Robert downey jr and johnny Depp to headline films from disney. They were kept on mainly because disney still likes them.

But james gunn is no fucking pedophile. Warner bros can be an amazing studio for gunn to work with with the dc cosmic side. Similar to how joss whedon was able to deliver his best work on justice league.

And that's yet another reason that social media is absolutely toxic and should be avoided at all costs.

Not just because most of the content is lies, but because anything you post can be used against you, by anyone, for any reason!

There are big potential benefits as well, if used properly, but comedians seem most "at risk" doing what they do where it can never be taken back

hyperbole, with your 3000+ post I have not seen you make child rape comments & endorsements or other depraved crap. Also, I have not seen you write about penis, turds & nipples or dance offs.

It's rather surprising it took that long to be exposed and noticed.

If I ever did put comments like that on the internet, I wouldn't put them on social media under my own name, right where my boss, my enemies, or random prudes might find them.

I agree that they probably wanted to get rid of Gunn because he is a hack. The tweets were probably ripped out of context too...wait, we cannot check that anymore because Gunn hastily deleted them all - which totally speaks for his innocence.

The few of his tweets saved show that he did not really engage in child rape fantasies or ensorse pedo right organizations, just check
