So the vortex opened up in London and the English chap was sucked up and suddenly he was with the Giant, who gave him a 'superpower' (in his hand) and told him to go to Twin Peaks six months ago. WTF?

And what was up with James, when he went to check on the furnace, why did he seemed scared? Was it because of static noise or something?

Yeah the noise has something to do with everything this season....good and bad.

That furnace area looked like the place where BOB was calling for Mike in Cooper's first dream sequence from season 3.

Not really, I actually rewatched the first two seasons twice before the return premiered. lol
