Can a Twin Peaks virgin start with the current episodes?

Never saw the original show or the movie, but interested in the new stuff. Plus it had NIN on stage, which piqued my interest more.

You probably won't like it if nin was what caught your attention, but hey, give it a whirl. I'd never discourage anyone from watching tp.

I agree with kazak, start from the beginning. Or at the very least watch the movie "fire walk with me" first. If you're into strange then it's worth it. Twin peaks was life changing for me...it's that original and that good.

Not advisable if the person doesn't yet know who killed Laura Palmer. Best to just watch it from the very beginning.

You can, but you won't know what is going on at all. Even for the people who watched the original, it can be very confusing.

Oh geez. Well, it's always a good question, but in this case I'd say that it wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable. And the early stuff is amazing!

You could watch a couple of youtube recaps first:

After watching these two recaps, I think you can go ahead and watch the new season and have a hint of what is happening.

Hmm interesting, thanks for the links. Even if I start from the beginning, I will probably check those out unless there is a spoiler I should avoid in the recaps.

I just checked, and wow there are only 30 episodes in the original series... That's not a ton. I know they're likely an hour long, but of course around 45 without commercials (and longer for the premiere episodes).
