This dude's life is a real David Lynch absurdity.

Some years ago, I stumbled on the actor's YouTube channel. Walter Olkewicz. It was all filled with videos of him reminiscing about his acting "career." But mostly he was begging for money for some sort of operation, without which, he was going to lose his legs or something. He hadn't acted in anything in a decade... He'd just say "Bite de bullet, bay-bee" and then vaguely ask for money.

I subscribed to his channel, so I could stay updated if some new Twin Peaks thing happened. I assumed he'd probably died or something. Turns out that that channel was banned by YT for terms of service violation.

So... no he appears as Jacques Renault again... except he's Jean Renault in the credits.

So I says to myself: BBB, how is this guy still alive? Did Lynch swoop in at the 11th hour and save this guy from diabetes leg amputations?

It turns out he has two YT channels now. And since 2 years back, he's still begging. But his schtick has taken a Lynchian twist: He is calling on the gay "bear" community to support him, suggesting that he has given them "pleasure" in the past and that they should now donate. One wonders if his old channel got deleted because he went a bit to far in trying to entice these viewers.

Well, I guess the new character's name is Jean Michel Renault.... so it's a nephew or younger brother, son, etc. of the others, perhaps. ha!

If Lynch killed off the character, why bring him back? Perhaps just a feeling of wanting to include this actor?

And of course Michael Parks, who played Jean Renault, recently died. - But that is Olkewicz playing the Road House manager there. As you say he has to be a son or nephew.

Could Jean-Michel Renault be a key to some of the loose-end characters?

Remember, he was still engaged in the prostitution business.

How is the "evil" in Twin Peaks currently manifesting --- Does it not include the Roadhouse's side operations?

What does this YouTube link have to do with your Reddit link? You think it's the same because both things are LINKS? ha!

The youtube link above supports this discussion of the actor who played Jacques Renault and his current whereabouts.

Your post with Reddit was not lame because it had a link. It was lame because WE HERE are a Movie Chat community having a discussion of Twin Peaks and you were saying our discussing sucks and, look, here's the better discussion on Reddit that you should all go over and join instead. That's like you invited someone over for dinner that you were cooking and they arrived with a Dominoes pizza saying, yeah, the food here isn't great, but here's some Dominoes shit if anyone wants a slice :/
