Silly premise for a series

I take it you haven't watched the show before? It's a great and funny show and you might actually learn a thing or two watching it.

Well, you have the premise wrong. The Devil comes to Earth because he is tired of ruling Hell. He is still angry at God for sending him to rule Hell as punishment for his rebellion and does not want to rule anymore.

Lucifer feels that God controls everything and everyone and has a plan. Lucifer believes in free will the opposite of what his beliefs are the motivations for God's actions.

It is a very good show and your assessment of it being camp and for teens is off.

Not sure who told you that but Lucifer doesn't hate humans, he is angry at God who he blames for his own mistakes and loves to punish wrongdoers but wants a new career, new experiences.

the devil (in this case) isn't evil he just punishes evil humans are responsible for the evil they do he just gets blamed by them.

"The Devil, who hates people (so we're told),"

says who? you need the good book in your life, son.

Terrific show, and the premise lends itself to all kinds of interesting story lines. The writing and cast are top notch.

He doesn't hate people. He hates when people do bad things.

Maybe you are just assuming that he hates people?

Looks like a lot of people don't think its silly at all.
