I don't understand the high score....

8.4 out of 10? Remember, this just my opinion.
I know this is supposed to be a Sci Fi Comedy... but this show is more of "retarded" then "funny".
Actually, I don't find it funny at all. The police, FBI or military "agents" are so dumb that it isn't even funny. The story is a mess and all the main characters are weird and uninteresting.
I honestly don't get all the hype and high score.
I love comedy shows, but this is a disgrace.

I'm pleased to see your post because I'm thinking the same. How this is being rated 8.4 is way beyond me. I thought 'I must be missing something' but I don't think I am. Banal comes to mind for some reason, not sure why?

I think it's a different type of comedy than most people are used to. It's more of a cynical comedy than anything. Definitely not something that's expected to appeal to a wide audience. I thought the show was thoroughly hilarious and exactly the type of humor I'd expect from a writer attempting to channel Douglas Adams (which he does extremely well).

To that end, "messy" and "weird" perfectly describes the show, though I can understand why people would get turned off by it, despite it being the exact reason why I love the show to begin with. Super niche genre.

Don't watch it then, you have other choices. It's already been renewed though for a second season, my personal opinion put's it up to a 9.5. It's all a personal choice, don't like, don't watch.., I will be tuning in for a second season.

Then don't watch it, dude! That's why they make chocolate and vanilla. Personally I would give it a 9/10! It's a GREAT series!

Really? I gave it 9/10, and find it hilarious. I do think it has a particularly British sense of humor though ... not surprising, coming from the BBC and based on the work of Douglas Adams.

What makes these characters uninteresting? What makes the FBI and Police "dumb"?
To get the hype you might need to pick up a book and look into the genre. For example read a Holistic detective story or a book by A. Lee Martinez. Its a genre, weird fiction. Its not the fault of the genre if you watch something you don´t like.

And this is a stupid comment. So which kind of comedy shows do you actually like?
Cause I can not see anything on your topic page which is nearly as boring as your critic of this show. Try substance the next time, cause apparently style is not your thing.

I agree. It is far from Douglas Adams style. The old one by BBC was more to the author's image but that one was badly made. But the new one is surprisingly well done show in this genre. 9/10 for me.
