Don't watch this in Singapore!
Don't watch this when it releases in Singapore! It's heavily butchered and most of the sex scenes are cut like what happened to Blue Is The Warmest Color. Wait for the Blu-ray to come out!

sharedamn :/ do you think this will be the case in most places? will the blu-ray be the only way to see the real version?
shareIt will definitely be the case if you watch in Singapore. The MDA is very strict when it comes to homosexual content. I have already watched the preview screening here and the parts where it was edited was very obvious so I'm planning to watch a 2nd time uncensored once the DVD/Blu-ray's out. It IS a very good movie though.
shareokay thanks for the info, cant wait to see it :)
shareGet an import.
It doesn't matter if it's a DVD copy or a Blu-ray copy, if it exceeds the highest classification guideline, it will be edited for just about every release. Same with Shame (2011), which was only shown uncensored at one local film festival in '13 or '14.
I have yet to see an uncensored hard-copy release of Gone Girl (2014), even though it was shown without edits during the theatrical release. I can only find an edited M18 DVD/Blu-ray release :/
I was really surprised X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) got an uncut PG13 release too, since there were a few passing anti-religious references that made it seem too edgy for just a Parental Advisory sticker, but hey, studios gotta earn money right?
Yea that's what I meant. R21 dvds/ blurays are not available in Singapore anyway.
shareR21 content shd be available on home video (DVDS and BLU-ray) considering its already allowed on Subscription TV on-demand services and streaming services like Netflix SG. Anyway, this show wouldnt even pass uncut under R21 classification guidelines due to the abovementioned graphic lesbian sex sequences.
Some info from MDAs site abt this title: Look under "more info" to find out what has been cut: https://app.mda.gov.sg/Classification/Search/Film/SearchDetail.aspx?sType=Feature&sRowID=AAAH4UAAPAAAE6WAAK
I just saw it in cinema in Czech Republic and it does not seem to be thankfully censored here at all. The erotic scenes are very long and quite steamy. I would say that all European countries will get this version.
sharedamn it, i thought with the R21 it was uncensored, like Carol
they should at least indicate its censored, to think i as planning to watch it another time at GV
I did watch it here in Singapore cos rarely do I get to watch a good korean film on the big screen here. YES, I did notice the cuts even though it's R21! How dare they ??? But still, it doesn't take away from the beauty & awe of the other elements in the story.
shareDude thank you so much for telling me! I was just about to book a ticket when i saw the R21 rating, then i was afraid it was going to be cut.
Sighh...Singapore censorship seriously sucks. I still remember when they censored freaking Titanic in theaters.

Oh yes, very undateable.
Do they still have public canings in Singapore for certain crimes?
WHO DAT!
thanks hog
shareYou didn't get to watch lesbians have sexual, how awful. Why not just watch porn?
sharebecause porn isn't directed by chan wook park.

Like everyone else on the internet, he can watch porn with a few mouse clicks, which makes your snotty reply even more pathetic.

Just because I stumble down the road like a drunk, that doesn't mean it's the wrong one.
